Taking Charge

The two of them piece together a trail of clues across continents to uncover who betrayed her. Mariana can’t trust anyone around her, including her closest friends and work colleagues.


This fast-paced adventure thriller combines elements of technology, history and detective work. The relationship between Mariana and Shep gets tested as they must survive escalating dangers from those who are hunting them. As time runs out, Mariana and Shep get closer to the unpleasant truth but also to their own peril.

Our Co-Author Journey

Married for over thirty years, with three children, we decided to follow our passion and write a story together after becoming empty-nesters. Taking a break from our primary careers, we have enjoyed developing a process for co-writing and traveling to locations for hands-on research. What started out as a hobby turned into a fulfilling new adventure for us. We hope you enjoy it!

Our talented niece, Hannah Wilson, designed the cover of our book. We thank her, our editor, P.J. Hoover, and all of our pre-readers for their assistance and candid feedback!

We spent countless hours developing the plot, brainstorming, writing, re-writing, laughing, and exploring the various sites we mentioned in our novel. From beginning to end we found this to be a fun adventure as a couple.
